What does a friend mean to me?  A friend is joyful, kind, and funny.  These are important things about friendship.

One of the important things friends do is playing.  A good friend plays sports like soccer, basketball and even baseball.  My friends play board games like Candyland and Monopoly.  Sometimes a friend can play pattern blocks.  Great friends can play cards together.  And a best friend plays hide and seek.

Another thing that is important is a good friend is helpful.  A very good friend can do math and spelling together.  Sometimes a friend can bring chicken broth if you have a virus.  And a friend can do homework with you.

The last thing that is important that friends do is talking to each other.  Friends can talk on the phone.  A best friend can talk about books and movies they have seen or read.  Friends can also talk about birthdays and school days.

As you can see, friends are so important to me.  Talking, helping, and playing are super things that best friends can do.

What is a friend?  A friend is playful, helpful, trustworthy.  These are the three things that are important to being a friend.

One thing friends do is play together.  We play sports like baseball.  We play games together.  We play different games.

Good friends are helpful with younger relatives.  Friends help when you're sick at home.  Sometimes friends help with homework.

Best friends are trustworthy.  Best friends don't tell friend's secrets.  Best friends keep secrets.  We can trust our friend not to tell secrets.

As you have read, friends are important to me.  We play, help, and  trust each other.  Friends are a part of my life.

Why Leah is my best friend

We have known each other for almost three years.  We live near each other and we spend a lot of time together.  We play together and play fair.  Sometimes I choose what we will do and sometimes Leah chooses what we will do.  She is very funny.  She is as funny as a clown.  For example, she says "Cheetos" in a funny way like "Sheetos".  She is also weird.  For instance, if she gets a big potato chip she names it Freddy.  We can have sleepovers together.  She sleeps over my house more than I sleep over her house.  Leah is also very helpful.  If I am having trouble with my math problem, she will tell me to try every combination to solve it.  If we get to choose partners at school, I choose her and she chooses me.  Leah is my best friend and she always will be.

It would be my pleasure to take Laura to the Valentine's Day luncheon.  I have so many reasons why.

Laura has always been honest to me.  She has told me the truth and doesn't lie to me.  Laura makes sure I feel good and tells me when she feels upset about something.  That's one reason I want to take Laura to the luncheon.

Laura also makes me feel good in lots of different ways.  First of all, she forgives me when we have little arguments.  When we do things I want but she doesn't really, she's polite about it.  That's one more reason I want to take Laura to the Valentine's Day luncheon.

She's also really funny.  Laura cheers me up by making funny faces.  Sometimes she tells me silly jokes!  Other times she makes me laugh.  I have a few more reasons why I want to take Laura to the luncheon.

Laura often tells me secrets. If she is going to tell someone about me, she makes sure it is ok with me first.  She also shares her things.  For example, Laura lets me color in her coloring books.  Sometimes she shows me special and cool things.

I have one more reason why I want to take Laura to the Valentine's Day luncheon.  She's always there to help me.  I help her too.  Sometimes I help her with stories and she helps me with drawing.  These are all reasons I want to take Laura to the Valentine's Day luncheon.
